Ideas on how to dress children up as a fruit or vegetable?

I went to a party once as a bunch of grapes.

It got a lot of attention(I won first prize) however, it was impossible to go to the loo, could not sit down all night, the kids kept asking if they could have one of my balloons and to top it all I found out that all the blokes planned at the end of the night they would pop all my balloons(I only had a leotard on underneath).

Thanks for all the suggestions, but going to stick with the french bean and runner bean. Managed to buy a thin wool beret in the sale at New Look for £2 and Asda had a set of 2 t-shirts one of them was a thin blue and white stripe in the sale for £3, all of these can be worn again so didn't mind much.
Managed to borrow some bright yellow legwarmers from my niece so will put them over my oldest son's tracksuit.

Thought I would pin a picture on their backs of the vegetable they are supposed to be, just in case some poeple don't get it!! Lol
