Does anyone know of a uk based imac forum thats used frequently? I hate going through all the registration and find a forum is very quiet and you have to wait weeks/months for replies.
Also, a good paper (as opposed to online) magazine in plain english for a newbie to macs?

I subscribe to Mac Format Very good magazine with lots of tutorials, and if you subscribe you get access to subscriber only features on website including back issues in PDF. Also has a forum that may interest you.

There is the USA based board on MacFixIt.com (h**p://forums.cnet.com/mac-forums/) where there is a selection of forums inc new users although no iMac specific ones. Also go to the main page h**p://reviews.cnet.com/macfixit/?!!!!!mfiredir for news of the latest problems and fixes.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Is Macfixit like Jim'll fix it??? I wonder because of all the product placement I see in films, news and TV for Apple Laptops. Considering the number of laptops sold across the world, and the relatively small market share of Apple, it does look very much like "We paid to put it there."
Aye, tis a glorious pile of astroturfin' - they'll be buying off The Gadget Show and their smartphone shootouts next........
Apple Mac - because you are an 'individual'. As sold in Harry Enfield's "I saw you coming" store.....0 -
