Eurostar £69 return tickets

Hi we're planning to do Europe by rail for the first time this summer (with 2 small children - eek!) and being a complete novice I thought I'd see if anyone here has some advice for me! Prices for sleeper trains down to spain seem quite reasonable i think but it's the Eurostar that ratchets up the price! I was hoping someone could tell me whether I'll be able to get the £69 paris return tickets in the summer hols? We're so used to airlines charging double or triple in August I can't quite believe we'd get a good deal on the train! Is Eurostar just like any other train - i.e. cheap tickets available all year round if you book in advance? And if so, when do I have to book to guarantee these prices?
Thanks in advance
Thanks in advance

You can (and should) book Eurostar tickets by phone 6 months in advance to get the best price, and yes, they do start at £69 return to Paris. Sometimes the fares don't appear online until around 3 or 4 months before, but they are usually released 6 months before by phone.0

is an excellent site on international rail travel and well worth a read for information on Eurostar and onward rail travel.0 -
Yes, they do have the £69 tickets in summer hols, but numbers are limited so book them as soon as they come out.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0
