Can you say hanging the laundry out instead of using the tumble drier is a small DFW thing? That has just occured to me. As soon as I can get in the kitchen I need to do that.
I refuse to be afraid of the big bad wolf, spiders, or debt collection agencies; one of them's not real and the other two are powerless without my fear.
(Ok, one of them is powerless, spiders can be nasty.)

As of the last count I have cleared
    [STRIKE]23.16%[/STRIKE] 22.49% of my debt. :(

Yes, it may not save you thousands instantly but you'd be surprised how much it could save you over the course of a year, which is what this thread is all about :) Keep up the good work!

I used Glad's recipe on the os board http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=56680&highlight=lemon+curd#post56680

Really thickens up. Delish! Definitely more of a lemon cheese.

    I will also:
    • [STRIKE] do half an hour overtime before work
    • charge mobile at work
    • keep an eye on surveys during the day[/STRIKE]
    • do a half hour walk at lunchtime
    • [STRIKE] either read or work overtime for the other half hour
    • do an hour overtime after work (if I last that long!)[/STRIKE]
    • finish waspie corset sample and take photos
    • start corset belt sample (logging number of hours to calculate labour costs)
    • [STRIKE] dinner from stores
    • have an NSD[/STRIKE]
Better get a move on, but posting on here really does focus the mind. It'll be interesting to see how long I last at work today :o:o

Not too bad. Must get into the sewing room tomorrow as I'm in a bit of a CBA mood tonight.

    Hi all

Quiet day and out all day with work so apart from 3.70 for 2 coffees on train which I would feel weird claiming back then that's it spend wise. So much better than yesterday!

    Today I:

    - did usual 30 degree wash
    - am thinking again about free cycling TD as never used now youngest is much older( originally got for washable nappies for DD2 ..she is now 7!) and replacing with an under worktop freezer..much more useful
    - am using up rest of chicken pie from weekend..the most yummy leftovers
    - have checked online banking. OH has been paid and my expenses are through. Finding cash-flow much better when I submit claims regularly (
    quick ain't I?:o)
    - revisited regular shopping order..veg box etc and pruned out anything
absolutely not necessary for this week. We are trying very hard to keep to budget this month esp. on groceries so as have proportionately overspent first part of month then trying to cut back for second half

    Have a good evening all

    Just a really quick one....

Got made permanent at work yesterday so very very happy about that:j:j School is only 5 mins from home, the dept is lovely and the kids are much nicer than most so I'll be teaching science there for as long as I want to now:T
Also an extra responsibility for Key Stage 3 has been talked about meaning more money - it gets better!

Got paid today and immediately transferred £150 to savings to stop me spending it ;)
Didn't go overdrawn last month either! (Just!)

AND have been to Slimming World tonight and am just 1/2 lb off losing my first half stone (in 3 weeks).

Better go to bed soon whilst I'm still on a roll!
