Congratualtions, Wish we had been more sensible regarding our debts b4 i became pregnant for the 2nd time, (9 year age gap) We are now paying the price, I had thought we might have been slightly better off once i left maternity leave and applied for benefits, how wrong was I! stuff ups and low moods (weather through irregularity's in my hormones or real depression i'm still not entirely sure) but sooo many things have gone against us since i applied! Mess ups from council, and now we have faced the hard truth and gone on a DMP! will be singing the official paperwork and posting tomorrow! Token payments sent out today. So its all fingers crossed for us, But we didnt go for all spanking new either! only the pram was, and that went on credit card :( before the grants came in! All for 6 months usage!
  • Wow! Lots of replies!
I'm hoping to get things off friends and my bosses if they have anything :)
re maternity leave - yes I may bounce back and I may not. But in my mind my job is not that much different from a mum on her 2nd/3rd baby. In my 2 jobs I have 2 children I look after in each. In 1 they'll both be at school. In the other the eldest will be at school and the younger one will be 3 so at pre-school a few sessions. But it's still upto my employers really as they employed me with no children. My difference is getting up and commuting to work to start at 7am!!

Still I changed my career to make this possible.

Instead of Nannying would yoru home be suitable for you to convert to being a child minder forexample? Less travel for your and easier to work round probably :) You already have the child experience so the certifications should be easy?
