Poor thing, that'll be the amnesia.
I refuse to be afraid of the big bad wolf, spiders, or debt collection agencies; one of them's not real and the other two are powerless without my fear.
(Ok, one of them is powerless, spiders can be nasty.)

As of the last count I have cleared
    [STRIKE]23.16%[/STRIKE] 22.49% of my debt. :(

I believe these texts about writing off my debt as much as I do the unsolicited ones insisting I am owed £3750 for my recent accident... frankly I'm getting freaked out... I never even knew I'd had an accident! Do they know something I don't??? Yikes!!!

I got this text about the accident - just deleted it but how are they getting my moby number as I have NEVER given any company my number.

  • Hi, new to forum but have been reading it for a few days - enroute to BR, had DRO declined due to amount owed.
I too recieved a text a few minutes ago from 077543003476 "The government has introduced a Debt Settlement Order, this means people struggling with debt can apply to have it wiped off, to apply txt DEBT. 2stop txt STOP"

Ok, I reckon I have worked out who is behind this - I had a missed call 3 days ago from an unfamiliar number, when I searched for the number with Google I found links to MSE forums about CSL and their tactics (beginning to ring any bells with you guys??).

Obviously it is not a good idea to respond and therefore just confirm that whoever dispatched it has located you, but I do have serious concerns about how these companies obtain both landline and mobile numbers, I have been very careful not to disseminate my contact numbers to debt collectors and insist on using written correspondance with them only.

Look forward to sharing my journey to the Receiver with like-minded people!
