Cashminder reporting to agency??

Hi,

I have an Co-Op Cashminder account which was opened last month and i was wondering if co-op report these accounts to any of the cra's?

I am on my free trials with Equifax and experian none of them have appeared yet.

Thanks

Yes they do, or they certainly do to Experian. I have one of these and every month for the last 4 years is on my CRA file

Yep, to Equifax also. Never seen my Callcredit report but I think they also get the information.

Most and I say most start to report just over a month after the account has been opened...

£1 of debt is too much for me!

but bare in mind, the CO-OP notify the CRA after a month, but this might take up to a month to hit your report, in reality i'd guess that it should start showing between 6 and 8 weeks after you opened the account

Yes indeed, 6-8 weeks before reporting starts and updates every month or two from there on it.

Seems to be the same with a lot of the larger banks, however Capital One and Sygma Bank are very fast to put the account on your credit file and good with timely updates, too :o

On the Co-op card it will just show that you have been behaving, ie not going overdrawn. There is no info about the credit balance and you can't have an overdraft, so in theory you shouldn't go overdrawn. Only way you can is if a DD or SO is due and the funds aren't there, they could charge you a fee for not paying. Hope this helps
