Hi all,
We are buying my son a Nintendo DS for his birthday, and are thinking of something suitable for DD (aged 3) to give her something similar to do to him (she has to have exactly the same type of activity, despite the 4 year age gap!)
So my question is MobiGo or Leapster?
Does anyone have one of the above, can you give me a pro and con thought process please.
Many thanks

We have a leapster and it's good. Daughter is five and got it the Xmas after she was four. She goes through phases of using it, but it's great for the car, and ten minutes before bed if she says she can't sleep. I wonder whether three might be a little too young though. Hard to think back, but my niece is just three and I think she would struggle. Not much help, sorry!Debt free as of July 2010 :j

we got a mobigo & the dora game for dd on her 3rd birthday a few weeks ago for the same reason (dd1 has a ds)
she loves it
picked it up really easily, i can sit with her as she plays the games or she can do some of them herself
would definately recommend, she was thrilled to have a ds like big sis

we have a leapster2 & DD loved it. She passed it on to her little sister a couple of months ago (as she now has my old DSi) & the little one loves it too (she is 4 today).
I think so long as you get age appropriate games (ie ones that are for her age rather than ones that just say 3 but really are for older) then she will be fine.0 -
Our twin boys, 4 in May, have both the Mobigo and Leapster 2 and out of the two I would go for the Mobigo, although both get played with lots here so both worth the money for us.

We got DD a leapster when she was 3. The games have ages on them, so we just bought her some of the youngest ones first, most of the games have educational content, learning numbers and alphabet. She loved it and it got used a lot on long car journeys. Would definitly recommend them.0
