carpet clean

Hi what sort of price would I be looking at to get proffesional cleans in to clean my living room carpet@ room is approx 20foot by 10 foot.
or failing that how much does a rug doctor cost to hire.

    We looked a the price of some one coming to clean our carpet, then we looked at the price of a vax. It worked out the same price, but now we can clean our carpets whenever and only need buy the solution. Its worth thinking about.

    thank you for the very quick replies. I think we will go for the professional clean ,as it will make sure husband does not do the same thing again. This one I will read through before I post it....terrible mistakes in my first post.
    I did in the past have a big clean cleaning machine but it was very noisy and I had to find somewhere to store it.

    We bought one and it's a doddle to use (& not too heavy).

    I hired a carpet cleaner for about £25 for one day (although got it for 2 days extra because of the bank holidays!) which I thought was pretty good.
