AA/RAC adding recovery to roadside if broke down
Im looking at either AA or RAC for breakdown, car is 2000w so over 10 years.
i was thinking of taking RAC personal £38.50 less quidco £15 (quidco take £5 first year)
AA looks good but I use TCB all the time and reviews for getting cashback through AA dont look good.
if I took the basic roadside of either company and say broken down on a long journey, would they let me add if i payed over the phone recovery if i needed it?i dont want to take it out now,as its rare i go far.so just a general enquiry.
Thanks

RAC won't let you purchase recovery once your car is already broken down.
Have you looked at purchasing cover through TEsco ?0 -
they're in the insurance game, chances are if you call them out they will of lost money on you. so they rely on people paying but not using to balance the books. so it's like insuring your car third party fire an theft, then you have an accident that's your fault, then ringing them up and asking can you pay another £100 to upgrade to fully comp as you've just had a bump that'll cost £1000 to put right.

Go with AutoAid.£37.50 and you have full cover. Only caveat is you need to pay when you break down and claim back.0

Was looking at this, but if im honest i dont really understand it even reading though the site.
for the £37.50 what is say the equivilant cover to the likes of RAC?,do they tow you home or a destination of your choice..
Another thing is getting the money back,is it guaranteed??? and does the car have to be serviced at a garage each year?
sorry for all the questions-thanksDony worry,be happy...0 -

For £37.50 it is equivalent to full cover with RAC - Relay, Home Start, etc.
Reports on here have shown they're good at paying up too. Don't think theres a clause about servicing your car however if you want to avoid having to call them it's adviseable
