Hi, wonder if you can help (i think i'm in the right place)
My friend has just rang, his xbox seems to be playing up.
Today he's turned on his xbox and for some reason there is no sound, normally it's perfect, never had any problems.
It's connected via a HDMI cable into the tv - no surround sound etc.
If he changes to normal cable the sounds comes back.
We've looked around the net and it seems to be a common problem but there dont seem to be any fixes on it.
The xbox was bought new from shop but warranty has now expired.
Any ideas or has anyone else come across this problem?
TIA

Check the cables plugged in. (I know but simple things are often the case)
Try a different cable.
Check what the Xbox is outputting, it could be sending dolby digital to a set that cannot handle the input.0
