Hello everyone
Would like any of you out there to help me out with colour laser printer choice. I am organising a charity dinner and have nearly collapsed at the price of £670 for 500 A5 20 page booklet/program. I think it would be more cost effective buying our own printer as we can get all the paper we need free! Dont really know where to start, out techie bloke is formatting it and has done them before but cant help on printers. Any ideas?
Thanks very much
Andy

I would recommend HP Color laser printers and Xerox toners if your going to do a large amount of prints or if your budget is very high than Xerox printers.0

Take a look at this if you are on a very tight budget

Toner cartridges for my printer are over £150 a pop. 1000 pages is going to use a fair whack. Don't forget that you've then got to sort them, fold them and staple them. The kit to do this automated is not cheap. Putting the ink on the paper is the easy part.
How much time do you think this will take to do by hand? Here's a clue: Put aside at least a day.0 -
I'd recommend this if you're on a tight budget and looking for an almost 'disposable' printer.
For £133.90 it comes with 2 full sets of Dell toners. If you do need to refill, you can get a replacement set of compatibles for around £30.
I agree with what other posters have said - it is going to take an age to 'compile' the booklets. Is it worth your time to not go with the printing company?
