Also, the perfectil needs about 3 months of use to really show any difference. I think that's the case with most supplements though. :)

Oh, I've only had about a week and a half's worth! Maybe that explains not seeing any difference ;)

I have read good reviews of GNC and the holland and barrett vitamins but GNC seems to be an american thing. I am thinking of giving the holland and barret one a go it's much cheaper than Perfectil :)

  • I have the Boots own ones - not the one linked above, it's actually called "Skin, Hair & Nails" - think it's this, but the image isn't working so not 100% sure. Have been taking them for a couple of weeks & honestly think it's making a difference to my nails, not too much change to skin & hair yet though...

I bought a pack of perfectil on a whim, and been trying it out. The tablets are pretty big and taste a bit grim - the things we do for beauty!
To be honest, I can't really tell the difference, except my nails are looking nicer and seem stronger than normal. But I can't tell if that's because of the tablets or whether they'd have been like this anyway as I've only recently quit my bad habit of chewing my nails.

Sorry to butt in! How did you managed to stop chewing your nails? I have been trying for years and just can't stop.

I tried the solution that you dip your fingers into and if you chew it tastes vile, but i couldn't eat sandwhiches or anything with my hands as the taste came off!

I've tried alot of things but only manage to biting for 3 or 4 days at the most. My nails are a mess :( xxxxx
