PruHealth Warning!

I have been a member of PruHealth for 6 years. I took part in their health scheme, Vitality, and this enabled me to get my preimum right down (averaging £100 per year due to being very healthy and going to the gym 3 times a week etc - getting Platinum status).
My renewal has just come through and (due to vitality scheme changes my new premium is £550!
I gave them a call and they advised that the vitality scheme had changed and that the discount is now only deducted on the monthly premium for up to 3 months maximum (for Platinum status) instead of the entire year (as it always used to be). So instead of saving £400 pa I am now only saving £60 depsite keeping my points at Platinum status and being really healthy!
This offer has changed drastically and even with the 20% off Virgin Active deal I am now considering cancelling my policy! I was told by the call handler that a lot of other people shared my disatisfaction!

This is the last year (until Oct 2011) that I will be using a gym (primary reason) via Pruhealth vitality and paying for medical plan by Pruhealth, the terms have changed so much so it's going to be more expensive than paying for the gym walk off the street rates !
I've fumed about it to them, but they don't give a damn. Wonder why their business model worked in South Africa and not here ! any answers , pru ?0
