Buying a car
Hi All,
I'm looking for some advice.
I bought a 60 plate car yesterday from Peoples Ford. Once I got home I looked it up online and have discovered that there is two different prices for it one on the ford direct website and the other on the peoples website. I've check the reg number and it's the same. I have e-mailed the garage about it and I've not heard anything other than they will get the manager to look into it.
My question is should I be able to get it at the lesser price as it is advertised at?
Thanks

basically no, are you happy with the car? you were obviously happy with the price you paid,
next time its better to do your research before handI

You walked in, you fell for the car, you sold it to yourself... They didn't need to do any selling or bartering and you paid the higher price. Im afraid there's not a lot you can do, but they might offer out some "extra's" just to keep you sweet.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

I've not actually bought the car. I've put a deposit on it to secure it. Car's not even in Scotland yet. I've been to the garage and the sales guy has basically said we are giving you it at that price because the rate I'm getting is 4.2.Debt of £15,000 plus £9000 for a car

I did actually barter as I got them down £700 but have now seen it on the website for £251 less.Strider590 wrote: »You walked in, you fell for the car, you sold it to yourself... You bought it from them, not from Ford Direct. If you wanted it at the lower price, you should have bought it from Ford Direct. Its like complaining that you bought a joint of beef from Tesco for £10 then finding out that you could have bought it from the factory shop at the place it was made for £8. It is up to you the consumer to do your own research.0

Was the car sold as a level one "Ford Direct" car?The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0
