Ideas on 'keepsake' albums pls?

Seems a straightforward enough matter, but it's really not. :D

I spent the day in town recently, trying to find a reasonably priced 'manly' album that was A4 sized.

Everything I found had feminine style covers. I did find one plain beige suede effect one which I ended up buying only to find when I got it home that the inner pages weren't A4 after all, they were designed to carry two pics per page and as it was 'sleeve' type sealed pages rather than the 'pull back and restick' type of page, it just couldn't be adapted.

This album needs to hold small and large pics, info about events and possibly medals. Any ideas or links to anything online you've seen that might fit the bill?

I dont want a box or file anything like that, it has to be an album of sorts to sit on the bookcase.

Have a look at Arrowfile on line - http://www.arrowfile.com/ - you can buy very presentable bookshelf "files" which you can then add whatever pages fit your need, or they do traditional albums. They started doing archive quality photo storage but now do a lot else besides.

Photobox have half price A4 books (any colour) at the moment. I presume you'd have to upload photos to go in??

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

This guy is brilliant! He does journals, as well as photo albums, and will work to whatever design you want:

I currently have three items on order with him (2 Birthday pressies and one just for me lol). But, it depends how quickly you want one. If sooner rather than later, you may be better off choosing one that is already ready.

Im not sure if they have A4, but Ive just bought some black photo albums from Asda. You can get 200 x 6x4 photos in each with also space down the side for notes etc. The albums I got are 5.50 each.

I second (or 3rd) scrap books, you can get stick on corner holders for the photos that keep them in place quite reasonably
