Hi Folks
I am not very computer literate and was wondering if someone would be kind enough to explain what an iphone is? What extra things can it do which an ordinary mobilr phone cannot do?
To be honest, I don't know why a lot of people are excited about this new iphone4?
Thanks

For a start, an iPhone is a sort of telephone. A telephone is a device to stop you writing letters: instead of writing to someone, you sit down beside your telephone, turn the dial to enter a series of numbers, wait for the person to start speaking and when they don't do so (perhaps they have gone out) you decide to try again later, rather than just writing to them.
Unlike an ordinary telephone, an iPhone is a sort of computer. A computer is like a typewriter that does not have any paper. So once you have written your letter, you ask your secretary to copy it into the computer, then you tell your butler to take the computer to the stationary shop so that your letter can be printed. However, before beginning this process you notice that the iPhone is also a telephone and so instead of writing you use it to attempt to 'ring up' your correspondent. Since doing so is a substitute for writing, this mean that the message never actually gets sent. However, the iPhone does have some puzzles built into it, so that the time you would otherwise have wasted on productive activity can instead be used for pure enjoyment.0 -
One thing the iPhone does have is Google. Google allows you to search for answers yourself. It saves the other members of Internet forums having to spoonfeed idiots who can't be bothered to do their own research.
You can also read forums and PMs on an iPhone. In view of the threatening PM you sent me, OP, I'm notching the sarcasm up a gear
The iPhone has been around for years. Millions have been sold. The 4 will shortly be replaced with the 5. There's masses of information about it online. If you don't have the mental capacity to read up on it for yourself, you probably lack the intelligence to use one (that's if you earn enough to afford one!)I was born too late, into a world that doesn't care
Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair0 -

But if you are not an IPhone groupie and use Android you will not need to post such a question as Android users are very very clever .
Apple IPhone is a brand of Smartphone no more and no less .
