Hi folks,
I recently had a relative construct a website for my new business venture, all this was free of charge and he was more than happy to help out a member of the family.
Lately our relationship has deteriorated to the extent that he now wants me to pay my way, £10 a month hosting charges.
Thing is, I know everything he has done has been great but im not prepared to pay him because he owesme and other members of my family far more.
The problem is, how can i stop him sabotaging my website??
Ive paid him for the domain names and the registration etc but i want to save the site,
ANY iDEAS???

Unless you have the log-in details for access to the server on which the site is hosted then you cannot prevent him from doing what he wishes with the site.0

£10 a month is stronging it for hosting, you can have that for as little as £25 per annum and get a whole host of features that I strongly suspect you don't have now (eg, your own dedicated mail server).Remember kids, it's the volts that jolt and the mills that kill.0

Hi
If you contact easyhosting.co.uk they may be able to take a copy of your website and upload it to thier servers.
Is the domain name in your name?
easyhosting.co.uk charge £9.97 for 2 years domain name registration including 12 months free web hosting + you can host up to 5 domain names on one account.

Hi,
Who owns the domain name? You can check through sites that let you register domains, I use https://www.lcn.com for my clients but always register them as the owner.
http://www.lcn.com/whois/search?s=www.moneysavingexpert&x=0&y=0 that shows who owns the domain as well as some other information about the DNS etc.
Thanks,
