Life insurance quandary

Hi, just a quickie question and apologies if I am the 1000th person to ask.
I am finally getting around to sorting some life insurance out and am trying to work out my best options. I wondered if it was possible to have more than one policy? If so, I thought it may be a good option to go for one policy just covering my mortgate and a second one for Family Income Benefit.
I am 37, female, non-smoker. I have a £66,000 mortgage with 23 years remaining; one year old child and an out of work partner.
Opinions would be gratefully received as to whether this sounds like the best thing to do.
Thank you

No limit on the number of plans you can have. You could take out separate cover with different providers, or go for a menu plan that lets you add different benefits and change them as your circumstances change.
Family Income Benefit is a cheap way of protecting your family and replacing your income in the event of death.
