How to fix a mushroom mortice lock

I have a mortice lock on my bathroom with the mushroom style knobs. On one side of the door the knob keeps pulling off, its attached to the lock itself rather than being screwed to the door.

How do I stop this?

usually a bar runs thro the lock itself, and the knobs are held on with small grub screws.
they can get very worn and fall to pieces. either replace the bar, or the knobs. or both.
if you are very lucky a new screw will do the trick.
sometimes a new complete lock is the answer. not very expensive.
    Get some gorm.
