Hi
Our home insurance is due for renewal but we recently made a claim which has been unsuccessful. We are required to advise the insurance companies of our claim but as we have not received any help in the matter and didn't receive any money what do we do? When searching on sites like money supermarket we have to enter an amount received, can anyone help with this?
Thanks
Di

Will it let you enter '£0'? When I sold Home Insurance that's what I always did in this situation. Are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation? :cool:0

When it asks you about the number of claim free years, can you enter 0 (or the appropriate number)?
If you are having trouble getting an online price you may need to ring the insurer. Ie if the price including NCD is attractive but you can't enter the details of the recent incident, give them a call and ask them to quote you including this information.0 -
I have input zero on one website but the rest ask for a minimum of at least £50, it is such a pain
I think i'll just have to get the most suitable ones and give them a call. Talk about hard work
Thanks

If it's hard work, then why don't you let a broker do the leg work?0

hi did you get anywhere with this, i am having a similar problem. Quote is increasing by £200 for disclosing a claim which was unsuccessful !!0

Try reduceyourpremium .co .uk - they say they can guarantee to beat any household quote - I recuced my premium by about £90 per year by taking it away from Churchill - you put some brief infomation on the form and then someone calls you back at an agreed time - it' all done over the phone so there's no chance of putting in wrong information which might make your premium higher0
