Japan crisis - the worlds economic outlook?

But will the general public find out the truth? That is what I mean.
I understand why governments lie. Its a bit like parents do not tell their children everything in one go, it is wise to release information in the correct amount and time.
Like when many were saying there has been meltdown at a few of the reactors but the Government spokesperson was denying it. Now it turns out they were lying all along.
!!!!!!!
Is stating as fact that radioactive water burned through protective boots and then burned flesh to the bone lying too? Particularly when we've shown that it actually seeped over short boots and then caused skin burns when it touched bare skin, burns which were treated and the victims were released from hospital a couple of days later?
Or is it sensationalist nonsense?0 -

Is this like you keep making stuff about reptiles and the new world order conspiracy theories?
When are you going to give it rest Bendy?
When are you going to post something useful that is not a childish playground thing to say?0 -

When are YOU going to accept that your express statement that the radioactive water burned ate through their protective boots and ate their flesh to the bone is utter nonsense?
You can't hide from it Poshbird . . it's on record on this very thread. Several times.
It's a pretty important point; it goes to the heart of:
1) your credibility
2) the fact that people like you use idiots like Alex Jones as the main term of reference for shaping your world view.0 -
Yeah even those working on the problem every day cannot be sure the real situation. You cant just go in to those reactors and do a damage report like you can with an ordinary power station.
It will be a long time before we know the truth about the long term outlook for the crisis.
True but it is easy enough to guess that the situation is far worse than the news reports.
Just like when they claimed on the news there was no meltdown, but now its been revealed they were covering it up.
Wonder what else is being covered up now so as to avoid panic?0 -
The mutations have started.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mIbsvASz2ic
Wont be long before the first human mutations are born, this is so horrible.
I strongly believe they should not have lied about the water being ok to drink and they should have evacuated all the greater Tokyo area.
Certainly any pregnant women should get as far away as possible.
mutations occur in nature all the time. it is certainly hard to say that this has been caused by fukushima. unusual clusters of mutations not previously observed would be the real indication of a problem.
on a more trivial note - we can't get hold of the filming stock we need and sony stuff is in short supply. Those who will not reason, are bigots, those who cannot, are fools, and those who dare not, are slaves. - Lord Byron0 -

Rabbits are always the first to show mutations in radioactive disasters. Because they breed very fast, just around 9 weeks they can give birth again. Its probably the first new born`s since soon after the disaster.
Its looking likely there will be clusters of mutations over the coming months in animals an indeed humans if pregnant mothers were not evacuated. Not just that but young children are more likely to show symtoms like hair loss etc.
Those who think they should have evacuated the entire greater Tokyo region do not understand what a big deal this would be. It would be around 40 million nuclear refugees and just moving to the other side of Japan is not enough.
Especially pregnant women or families with small children should move away from Japan, I would get as far away as possible.
PS Ninky what was your last part of your post all about, Sony stuff short supply? Are you talking about Sony`s factories North East of Tokyo still not up and running yet?0 -

It's interesting, DH's line of work also experiencing problems with supplies out of Japan. There's a lot of specialist engineering parts made there that go into things and its holding both production and maintenance up. It's an under-reported problem. It's fine if you can switch your supply chain to a different manufacturer, but if there's only one and it's a specialist item, then that's a problem.
What's interesting is that because the Japanese had moved quickly and early to move production to low cost locations such as China, for many products the shortfall has not been as great as expected.

Its not the only unreported problem. There are still rolling power outages all over the greater Tokyo region. The train stations are limiting lighting and everywhere is trying to cut back on power consumption.
The Prime Minister has said by next year every new building has to by law have enough solar panels to support its power needs. A very good idea the rest of the world should follow this example.
I notice other countries reducing its reliance on nuclear power. As the full effects of this disaster become more well know in the coming years more people will want to get rid of nuclear.
Some are talking about a world without any nuclear reactors of any kind, its an old technology that has proved more trouble than its worth.
Renewable energy is the way to go, of all the renewable ways, solar is by far the best. Why not make huge solar fields in the expanding deserts of the world? One reason I like it is because it uses up a lot of silver and I am buying silver every month0 -
Fine as long as you didn't want any lighting or heating at night and of course less in the winter than in the summer...I think....0

The sahara desert alone could supply enough power for most of Europe. But not just the deserts the world will need millions of acres of solar panels all around the globe to supply energy 24/7 from the panels in daylight.
There are other forms of renewable energy like wind and water, but they have moving parts and do not last as long. The first ever solar panels ever made still work and no reason why they they break, because there are no moving parts.
any thing is better than nuclear, when deformed babies start being born next few years and child start having their hair and teeth falling out to a greater extent than Chernobyl caused 25 yrs ago.0
