BBC iPlayer works fine using the official app. I don't think 4OD site runs on iPad - Seesaw doesn't either.
TVCatchup has iPad support though, using http://ipad.tvcatchup.com in the browser."Who throws a shoe, honestly?"

I talked myself in and out of one for 6 months before OH bought me one in the end. I use it primarily for reading books through Stanza, although Kindle is available for iPad. When its on charge I use it as a digital frame, I also use it linked up to a set of creature speakers because I enjoy seeing the album art big lol. I also download the daily papers to it and read them while I'm out.
The kids use it in the car to watch movies and it goes with me to the in-laws so I can surf while I'm there. And then of course, there is Angry Birds hehe0
