Spamalot

Just seen a superb piece of spam. Will be deleted any time, but thought I would 'capture' it and delete any of the real references since I couldn't help laughing at the pure amateurishness of it:

Or, depending how you look at it, extremely clever. The vast majority of spam to forums is generated by bots able to read capcha images, register, verify and make posts. Clever as they are, they aren't able to think.

The user doesn't know or much care whether it's a UK site any more than the email spammer bothers to check how likely the address he's spamming belongs to a potential customer for his enlargment product. Any site with a .com domain name, as this is, might be used by their target audience. It's a numbers game.

Freely available from your helpful Russian software supplier.
  • "doesn't realise this is a UK site. Plainly thinks we are American." Sometimes you'd think it was though the way a lot of people must think they're "cool" using U.S. type terminology and spelling of words!?

Gimme a break. I dunno. Nobody's gonna believe that. None of us dudes think it's cooooowel to speak like Americans. I use the proper English I was taught as skewel. But I like the color of their money and would luv to get a check for $800 million. Could remodel my back yard with that.

On my travels around the U.K., I have noticed that inhabitants of Birmingham and the Black Country tend to favour the use of "am" to "are" as in, "We am all going home now".
Perhaps the Dudley boiler room gang [STRIKE]am[/STRIKE] are moving online.

Brummies would be highly offended at that statement and would point out that the use of 'we am' doesn't indiginously occur in the area "'til ya git to Smethwick. And that aint Birminum." :)
