AA credit card reward points redemption for home insurance

I redeemed some AA credit card reward points at the beginning of January for a voucher for home insurance. When the voucher (in letter form) arrived I called the number on it to take out a policy and was told I'd need to send the voucher in after I paid for the policy which I did. The voucher was then returned with a compliment slip stating 'please follow instructions on the letter to receive your voucher' - the letter itself was the voucher. I called the home insurance helpline to see what was going on and was firmly told that the' letter was not a voucher and to follow instructions on it to receive a voucher' and to call card services if not happy. I have since called card services twice, the first time I was told I'd be contacted by a 'relationship manager', I wasn't so I called again last week and was told that I had been sent a new voucher (which hasn't arrived although they claimed was sent ages ago but have to allow so long for it to arrive). Has anyone else had problems trying to redeem points for home insurance? I have had no problems redeeming reward points issued by Barclaycard so I know that the service I've received from this card so far has been bad in comparison. They owe me £50 for this reward so I'm not letting it go - will have to make a formal complaint if it isn't sorted soon as am getting narked at having to deal with this when surely it could be simpler?!:mad:
