New kitchen.

Right, we want a new kitchen.
One side has a sink, washing machine, fridge (both appliances will stay), and under-sink cupboards (and another slim cupboard) on the floor. This side has a large double cupboard at head height. That side has little room for much else because the outline of the stairs juts out.
The other side has cupboards all the way along. They're not very nice; an old oven, needs replacing, extractor needs replacing.
We considered extending, but I can't find £30k to be honest, and we don't need to. So rather than overpay the mortgage, we're going to get a new kitchen.
So we need new units, new oven, new extractor, new flooring, and new tiling, new work surfaces.
I'd like it fitted, though I will do tiling myself.
I'm dreaming at anything nice for £5k ish, aren't I? £7k?
Help please?!?!

As long as you do your homework and get the best prices you could get it in on budget.0

We are looking at putting a kitchen in a house we have just bought and have seen that Wickes so some 'take away' kitchens that are around £570 for a 8-unit set. Not bad really! You would probably need to buy a few extra units and then worktops...etc. but you're still looking at a good price

We are in the process of installing a new Kitchen. We settled on Ikea in the end. We were very impressed with the quality and look of the Kitchen and it is coming in at £2500 for 14 units (including non-Ikea Laminate worksurface & upstands-no tiles). Its not the £570 above but it is also not £5k!!!0

I don't really want to install it myself though - I'm no good at that stuff!!Can we just take it as read I didn't mean to offend you?0

You can do it for 5k easily. We're looking at the moment so we've been everywhere!
Magnet didn't even bother emailing us with the quote but Ikea were really helpful and their appliances all have 5 year guarantees on them. We decided to go with a local company in the end but if we hadn't I think it would have been Ikea.
Our kitchen area is about 10ftx11ft and its going to come in well under 5k. I'm sourcing the appliances myself, you can get some really good deals on the internet but we're fortunate enough to live close to an appliance centre that beats all internet prices, happy days!!0
