there are 2 email replies in here from them
one stating the date you gave the other stating from noon 24th

Correct, but wasn't the 25th in the later email?

Tesco must realise that they would be breaking basic consumer law by changing the T&Cs after the event.

Any decent Manager at Mr T's should know that and I imagine someone senior has blown his top and said: 'You fools! Make it for purchases AFTER the 24th when we changed the rules!'

We just need one of the posters (with over £20 of DTD due) who forgot to input their receipt on the 23rd to try it again now and see what comes up

The tesco statement on facebook mentioned a few posts ago states the 24th and it was only released about an hour ago :(

I shopped on Sunday and didn't input until yesterday and have been told that it's tough luck :(

unfortunately more got the email that said it was from midday yesterday( submitting vouchers). I hope the first one is correct!

If Tesco has any sense and wish to redeem themselves they should honour all receipts from yesterday!!!

I think when Tesco amended their T&C's, they should have also amended the wording on the front of the price checker to say something along the lines of....

    • We’ll check the price of your comparable grocery shopping versus ASDA and then send you an email when we have your results. Of course we’re confident* you will find your shopping cheaper at Tesco, but if not, we’ll refund double the difference.
    * Our confidence is dependent on you choosing items that we want you to choose. Any customer who fails to be lured by our BOGOF's or other special offers may find they are entitled to the new capped rate of £20. However, in this instance we reserve the right to allow our staff to call these customers scammers or other insulting names.

I have to say I've had no hassle in my local store but some of the things I've read on here about some Tesco SA's...
    08 wins £3000+ :j09 wins £4408:j2010 (6 months off) £2004:j2011 £10,003 :j 2012 - £6013 :j2013 wins £8500 :j 2014 £5530 so far....

Can you kindly go back to the computer and go through the email
    > voucher process again, please?

I was one of the people who saw my £20 voucher revert to the correct £60-odd over the ether yesterday!
  • went in tonight with a £97 voucher. First of all bumped into someone I knew (who then went through the checkout next to us at the same time). I was petrified the voucher would get flagged, a supervisor called and the whole sorry episode would end up with me behind bars, while police raided through my spare room and took my Baileys/Wine/Chocolates/Shampoo etc. I then noticed the sales assistant (had purposely chosen a teenage boy who looked like he couldn't care less), had a "i'm new" badge on. Oh poo. After the shop came in at £99.10 and I handed over a £2 coupon, the boy then called a supervisor to do the DTD as he had no idea what it was. By this time i was shaking and seriously considering running out and leaving my OH to deal with the heat! Supervisor came over, looked at the voucher, told him how to input it and strode off. I then had 10p to pay, for a trolley-load of stuff! I have never been so scared in my whole life. Now wondering if its worth it, everytime I spend a voucher I take 5 years off my life with stress!
  • I like how the Tesco spokeswoman on that BBC interview goes on about the DTD price check is meant for people doing their weekly shop. Sorry, I must have missed that in the ever changing T&Cs....
