Why oh why didn't I input my receipt sooner :(
Please remember to thank fellow MSE'rs
  • After all the mixed messages at lunchtime I hurriedly went and spent my 2 vouchers I'd printed in the last week. Was able to use them both - £70 one and a £30. Didn't bother buying anymore dtd products but will probably by the odd bits & pieces separately next time I shop. What a shambles it's all been, lol.
    If I had known then what I know now . . .

Well I had 3 DTD voucher's to spend- 1 which I had to spend next week due to £100 rule but as Tesco was playing with us, I thought I should spend it now-got noraml shopping and went over by £7 (excluding the co-op voucher!:rotfl:)
The other 2 DTD's were my dad's and they were spent too, one of which should be another DTD! (He still has not reached his £100 limit for this month.:D)
this time, the store were absolutely great, Sa called over someone and she sorted it in less than 30 secs!:T

No news about the rude staff member or any phone call about the long 55 min wait for the DTD so willl be sending off a long reply to CS soon.
    Will update later.

Lastly, I want to thank EVERYONE on this thread, whether you post or lurk as you have all helped out so much, especially with troubles using the DTD's and with Tesco and it's T&C's, I really think we are an unstoppable force!!:p:D

Just been reading a few articles talking about the dtd policy being introduced like, http://www.which.co.uk/news/2011/02/tesco-declares-new-price-war-against-asda-245967/

Noticed that Asda got into some trouble re the advertising of their offer. Somebody mentioned how Tesco will have to be careful how they advertise this because of the cap. Will they have to take down all the posters etc in store and change them with the new terms?

Gosh i was so angry when i found out this morning that yesterday's receipt had been capped at £20, spoke to CS who agreed it was a shambles.
Been out for the day only to return to find my voucher is back to the £75 it should have been! So glad a didn't rush back to T's for a refund. Which i would have done if i didn't already have plans.
It's all been very stressful...now where's that turners.....

It feels quite cool the power of mse's has influenced Tesco to change.

They should have applied it from say midnight tonight to any shops done after that point. When i bought my shop today it was saying
£100 and that is what i expect them to stick to.

    Same here:mad:
  • Are you lot for real?! Has NO-ONE got anything better to do than complain about a supermarket issue? The world is falling down around our feet and you lot seem so hard done by. There are 15,000 people still missing in Japan and all you can do is moan about an error on a poxy website, you're all very understanding and sympathetic (Pfft!). The british public this day and age is an utter disgrace, would you still be complaining if we were under aerial attack or if we had an earthquake or a tsunami rip the guts out of our country. Having read this page i am ashamed to call myself a british citizen.

I think it's incredible that a huge company like Tesco aren't able to devise comprehensive, clear, common sense T&Cs at the start of their promotions. This sort of chaos and confusion seems to happen frequently.

I'm glad people's full vouchers have been reinstated. Of course they can change their T&Cs when they choose, but surely not retrospectively.
