    Oh right.

This means you can't use this against your next shop. There has been a few people who have said Tesco are starting to do this. I think it's fair to be honest. Because we could all end up never spending another penny in Tesco as long as this promotion lasts......brilliant for us, but not for Tesco.

You will have to start afresh I'm afraid!

Less than 50% of the sales assistants actually ask to see the receipt so I might be ok.

Even if they do I can bring the extra receipt CS gave me and try to explain that my receipt is scribbled on simly because I added on my clubcard points

It looks like Tesco are going to clamp down on this and start signing the new receipts. I think it's the only way to ensure it's done properly. Tesco are a business and they have to make money.

I totally agree with you & if any of the Tesco police reading our posts - I hope you take note of it - I would prefer the dtd to last as long as possible and not hinder by greed!

Every time I used the voucher I showed the cashier my receipt & let them do what they want to do with it. They never bothered - maybe b'cos they know me - If they don't signed it - I shredded it @ home. That way I keep my Tesco happy to accept vouchers.

woo hoo i've just joined your gang!!

went to tesco last night and bought the ulay, a bottle of bacardi and a bottle of the 9.99 wine. just entered my reciept so will be checking my emails every hour i expect!!:rotfl:

My tecso has obviously been MSE attacked because the was no baileys, no bombay sapphire, no nivea cream...:D

i also bought (because i needed to) 2 x 8 pack of diet coke which was 2 for £6.50 that im pretty sure is 2 for £6 at asda and coco pops at £2.69 which were £2 at asda and a yazoo milk shake at 99p which are 70p at asda. i don't know if these will work but as i needed them anyway it'll be a bonus if they do!

I understant that. I wasn't sure which receipt he/she was referring to. I know now and have explained.

Sorry I know this has been reported but I don't actually think this is what this person was referring to. I think they meant they forgot to use a clubcard at the till so went to CS straight away to get the points added from that transaction & then THEY scribbled on his receipt to do with that and nothing to do with whether he'd used DTD at all.

Hopefully they only scribbled out the barcode on the bottom to stop it being taken back & points added again so shouldn't affect any DTD

Yes but you wont be able to use that new receipt for another DTD shop..this has so far been ok to do.

Do you see what I mean, or am I misunderstanding you lol

You've misunderstood me lol :) sorry I am aware that if they sign and date your new receipt then you can't/shouldn't be able to recycle the it but I went to CS to get the clubcard points put on my card as i forgot to ask them to do it at the tiem of the transaction and at CS they scribbled over the barcode to show the points had been added.

i then used it in another DTD shop with no problems :)

does the op mean that the receipt was signed on the bit that says "sign up for clubcard" to show that the points have been added and cannot be put on again? this shouldn't affect using the receipt with a dtd voucher

    Hi all,

Really great thread, I have been silently following for the last 100 pages or so.

I dont really live near a Mr Ts but really want to get some of the wine on a home delivery. But keep chickening out :o

Just been doing some cleaning anyway and heard Martin Lewis plugging his slot on daybreak tomorrow saying he will let you know how to get 6 bottles of wine for free!!!
So I guess its now or never on the wine as after tomorrow tesco are bound to change the price!

I meant to say that if anyone can find a shelf full of the Nivea moisturiser (400ml only, £5.21 SEL only) then why not,

    Buy 12, cost £62.52
use £5 co-op voucher from News of World or
use £4 off Tesco mailshot voucher

DTD will get you a voucher for £101.04 (even if they eventually cap the vouchers, it'll still be £100)

Go and do your normal shop with that voucher, and you have just got your weekly shop for a discount of at least £38.52, plus double clubcard points on both shops, plus you may well get another DTDF from your normal shop if you are clever about which variety of a product you buy, i.e the right cereal, cat food, etc.

oh and you might sell the Nivea on Fleabay (as has now seen to be listed) and recoup some of the £62.

All within the rules! No recycling of vouchers. Just MS at its best.

But you are drawing attention to yourself by buying 12 of one item!!
Which is the quickest way to get this offer pulled!!!

Best to stick to buying a couple of each item on each receipt so it doesn't stand out so much :)
