They have set up this offer knowing that people will use it to the fullest capacity.
my shops are normally £200+ so all i did was tweak it a bit.
the sales girls were excited and were going to look at it themselves. no one said anything about my 180 voucher but i thing if i had had 3 for 60 and 3 loads of shopping it would have looked worse.
Of course Tessco know whats going on - but they are currently turning a blind eye to it, including anyone who has gone over their £100 limit with several smaller refunds. Its presumably beyond their current system capability to add up each voucher and block the refunds once the monthly total reaches £100.
It would be very easy for them to instruct every store that the MUST NOT accept any single voucher which breeches the £100 limit. If they put that message out loud and clear - and really threaten any store which doesn't comply - they will scare all the stores into being VERY careful (and difficult) about accepting any vouchers at all. It will mean endless arguments and confrontations.
You admit that the staff got excited over your voucher so you have clearly made an impact on their awareness - 'Discreet' seems to be a word that many people have trouble with.ELITE 5:2

Nice isnt it, i had one yesterday who was telling me the over priced duracell i was paying x amount for were only a £1 down the road, i said i needed them in a rush though, it was only after i pulled out the voucher she said oh i see why you needed them now. she also noticed i had bought wine that was on the voucher receipt and said she was going to have a go herself
If she is on again tonight , i may even leave my shopping list behind......TESCO EVERY LITTLE change to the t&cs HELPS0 -

It ran for a fairly long while - it was pulled (so far as I could gather) largely due to the X Box/Nintendo/Play Station fiasco when they lost ENORMOUS amounts of cash - and some people went around boasting that they had screwed Tesco for 10 or 20 X boxes and flogged them on E Bay ! Up until then, Tesco took it on the chin - but having it flagged up like that finished it all off. Thats mainly why I am so concerned about these huge refund vouchers.ELITE 5:2
