just out of interest, what are 'the old R & R days' that some people have referred to? Was that some other Tesco loophole?!

Refund an replace. Before tesco introduced their double the discount policy for any item which scanned at a higher price than the shelf edge label they used to refund you the total amount and also let you have the item (free). :)

    Voucher validation

For those who are refused their voucher- would it not be worth asking the staff to actually go onto the price checker website and input the receipt details and your email? We know now that by doing this it will "ping up" your voucher on screen. Surely if they do this they cannot dispute that the voucher has been provided by tesco. Is this not a way to prove it? :)

Morning all, I'm going to use my last voucher today, which will take me up to the £100 limit, I was a little apprehensive hearing awful stories but my store has just been helpful (although I am sure it will change soon) but to be honest what's the worst they can do, refuse the voucher? If they refuse I will ask them to phone head office and then they can check that it is correct, but mine is a small voucher in comparison to others.

I just hope they accept my £1.57 voucher when I next pop into Tesco. Got quite a few ASDA ones too! Anyone know if Mr T's accepting them?

I had a pleasant (but rare) convo with my SA in Tesco yesterday who was very accommodating with all the current shenanigans. In fact she confirmed to me that Yes, Tesco are accepting Asda price guarantees, they now need to check the receipt/voucher numbers tally, then give you back the receipt. Doesn't scan but they should put it through manually. Apparently staff were being asked to sign a sheet at their team meetings to confirm that they had read the acceptance rules. She then said to me, "do you know, we're doing our own guarantee offer now" - "really?" I said ;) and she then proceeded to tell me how that works instore too. "Oh, I'll try that then" I said:D

So yes, Tesco are taking Asda vouchers (as a loss leader to them and gain an advantage over Asda) and as they give you your receipt back unmarked I will be using them again in Asda on my way home!
