    HI
Spent £103 today and hoping for a voucher for £75.
Can you do small shops with vouchers as I cant imagine going to mr ts and spending £75 in one go.
    Thanks everyone x
Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

I think with all this stuff, the enforcement of the rules will get a lot stricter (e.g. the £100 will be enforced every time) and/or they will simply lower the maximum from £100 to something like £50, or £20 - once (e.g. from tomorrow when it gets in the weekly email!) it starts to get used by the masses.

Although just musing on it, the chances are that many people (who aren't quite as anoraky as some of us...) will buy expensive stuff in Tesco, think they are getting a DTD deal with Asda but in fact make a mistake at some point and end up getting nothing - so Tesco get an expensive sale. Maybe they're punting that the volumes of people messing it up will far exceed the volumes getting it right?

But whatever, nobody, certainly not Tesco, hand over money for free for an extended period of time...
  • So am I correct in thinking that the prices (on Tesco) are changing everyday so even if you check today and the date says 14 March, you could be quids out because the prices might change later today? Sorry if this is already explained somewhere - I've tried to read through all the posts on the various forums but it seems to be very complicated and very risky.
    It's 5 o'clock somewhere!

Got my money refunded all 94p of it, should have been £80+
I put my receipt in before the prices updated yesterday, the items I had brought were now pennys cheaper at asda (after update) instead of £4-£5 cheaper.
I phoned them up the 1st person hung up on me, tried again & the lady I spoke to didn't know much about the price checker & was useless.
I have now emailed tesco, but looks like I will be taking my items back to tesco tomorrow.

What did you buy? Is it asda or tescos prices that have changed?
Please remember to thank fellow MSE'rs

No, you can't. The voucher says no change will be given. The Ts & Cs says (point 24)...

"Vouchers can only be redeemed against transactions of an equal or higher value than the voucher."
  • I just rechecked my list against asda website and vanish has gone up in price and also innocent smoothies so will be taking vanish back and will just be lumping paying nearly £3 for 5 smoothes x 2!!

On the plus side its taken my total due back to £105.56 so i'm much more confident about actually getting that :)

But the prices are supposed to be checked against time of purchase i.e time of receipt so I don't know how that could've happened. Did you buy these items soon after checking the price?

What time does the price checker normally update then? Its still showing the 14th, so don't want to head to T's yet in case the prices update while I'm out and I end up with items to return.
