Would you believe it, not a soul in the street has an old style phone. I have phoned out an engineer and sods law there was hardly any crackle when I was on the phone to virgin - flipping typical! The engineer is coming out on Saturday.

Welcome to my world!:p I've lost count of the amount of faults I've been out to where,on working on them, the fault has gone away,so it makes fixing it harder!

I had one memorable one once.A customers broadband wouldn't work but when I went there it was.Three times I went to it,I got a rollocking off the boss for not fixing it as it was affecting his stats for the month.
Finally on chatting to a Network Engineer,he told me the customer had a chipped cable box in the house. So the next time I went back to the fault,I 'confronted' the customer & told him if he had a chipped cable box, that was the cause of the fault. So he could either have bband or chipped tv,not both.
Turns out the idiot was removing the cable box when I called, which cured the fault,& putting it back in when I left, which created the fault again!!!
