accommodation in wales

Does anyone know of any reasonable self catering accommodation in wales during the summer holidays.

Also as it will be our first visit to wales, recommendations of the best places to go would be appreciated too.

Many thanks

Can you be a bit more specific? Do you want to be near a beach? In the mountains? Near a town/city? In the middle of nowhere? Near attractions? Do you have children? How many and how old? How many of you are there? Where are you coming from? How far do you want to travel?

Sorry that was a bit vague wasn't it. It will be two adults and a 14 year old boy. near to the beach would be better. We will have a car so we don't mind doing a bit of travelling to attractions etc. I have been looking at Cardigan Bay at the moment but as we have never been to Wales I am open to any suggestions. We like walking and would like to have a day or two out bike riding but would probably hire bikes as we only have a smallish car and it might be a bit too far from nottingham to carry them on the back.

sky's the limit... I live on the west Coast, so you could say that Im biased... but you have some really nice villages to stay...

Aberystwyth is flat and ideal for cycling and has a long pier to take your bikes on..
new Quay is hilly, but has a lot to offer..
Dolphin watch, fishing trips, lovely beach...

I had a friend who stayed in New Quay last year, in a self catering cottage.. I think she paid around £500 for the week...

I think the firm they booked with were something like "West Wales holiday cottages" or something down that line

Ceredigion now have a costal path where you can walk from Borth (Nrth Aberystwyth) down to cardigan, but that has now been connected to Pembrokshire Costal path, being that you like walking...

    Hello

    Take a look at http://www.wernddofn.co.uk/

We stayed there in November and had a lovely time. You can not fault the cottage at all and the owners are lovely.

Plenty of walks, lots of places to visit within an easy drive and so so peaceful.

If you want photos of the inside from our holiday just ask!

All the Welsh coastal areas are stunning I am up in Snowdonia/Gwynedd and enjoy the drives and views around here but from the mumbles into tenby or mid wales through New Quay & Aberareon I consider it All Gods Backyard.
