Location for Warmu-up Thermostat For Underfloor Heating

I am just wanting clarification on where the warm up XSTAT thermostat (digital) for our Kitchen underfloor heating can be located. The tiler was saying we can have it on the corridor just outside the Kitchen. However the electrician who is to fit is saying it should be in the Kitchen. Any ideas please.

How about asking either one of them or both of them to read the instructions that came with the thermostat ????????

In the kitchen, else it will control the heating in the kitchen depending on the temperature in the hall, worst case is the door is shut and hall cold then the kitchen heating will be on all the time even when the kitchen gets really hot.

Tiler just did not want another thing to tile around.

If the heating is in the kitchen, then why would you want to monitor the temperature in the hall.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

Thank you all for your responses, but below is what Warm-up have to say

"Thank you for your recent email. I can confirm that provided the floor sensor is installed it does not matter that the control unit is being placed outside of the kitchen.

    Kind Regards, "

Your tiler was correct as the controller unit is linked to the temprature probe in the floor. It is not a central heating 'air temp' control.

Whilst you could have the controller next door it will be crap!!!! The floor sensor is to limit the floor temperature not the room temperature. The controller itself has a room sensor to measure the room temp. It then controls the room temp. by heating the floor but not letting floor get too hot in the process.

If the controller is not in the same room all you get is a floor that will get warm (but not overheat) that you will have to MANUALLY operate on/off to control the room temperature - making half the purpose of the controller redundant - utter stupidity! - get it put in the right room.
