Pet Insurance Advice Please - Cat

Hi All
Me and my partner have a male cat who is now 16 and needs a lot of dental work doing to it. This work will cost around three hundred pounds.

We dont know anything about Pet Insurance and wondered if we did take a policy out would it cover dental work and also can anyone tell me a good company to go with please?

Dental work is usually excluded, and most policies would not cover a pre-existing condition anyway.

I think it will be nigh on impossible to get insurance for your cat now because of its age. Pet insurance is the same as usual insurance - it is to cover the unexpected and won't respond to "maintenance" claims.

You are going to have to bear the costs yourselves.

Most insurance companies won't start a policy on a cat over the age of seven at all I think to be honest.

Sorry, but no insurer is going to take on a risk when there is already outstanding problems. Its a bit like crashing your car and then taking out car insurance - its just not possible.
