cheque book - how to get one with a poor credit history/record
Comments
-
When I was at my lowest and my credit rating was probably -100 I managed to get a cheque book with Natwest, via a Step Account. That was in 2003 when cheques were still in regular use.
I still need a cheque book today as this is the only way to pay my daughters nursery fees, despite what some people think, there is still a need for cheque books.0 -

Quite. My flatmate got a Lloyds TSB Current account in January, with a rather patchy credit past, and they wouldn't allow a chequebook. Even the branch manager couldn't override it, despite it being a full current account not cash account.
Just use an alternate payment method, or when needs must use a PO.Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48
