we do have a rubbish combi that's only 70% efficient according to BG.
I wouldn't take too much notice of BG, their main aim in life seems to be convincing you that you need a new boiler, and that you need them to fit it.

    Hi Tiggerwendy

Have a look at the link below to get more information on Energy Efficiency and also to complete an Energy Efficiency survey:

If you have internet access and you can easily read your gas and electricity meters, why not create an online account which will allow you to monitor your consumption much more closely. Having an online account will allow you to update your own meter readings and generate statements as often as you wish. If you want to review your consumption on a monthly basis, for example, then you can update meter readings at the same time each month and your online account will show you how much gas and electricity has been used within this period. If you wanted to make changes to the way you are using gas and electricity, you can make these changes and then review the consumption again for a chosen period of time by updating the meter readings for the changed period. Your account will then allow you to go back and review these periods to see what difference in consumption the changes have made. Have a look at the link below for more information on the online account and also to set this up if you wish:

Please let me know if you have any further questions and I will be happy to help.

That's ok, I can just inform our landlady to get a new one installed - it's playing up now anyway.
