Until recently - (the last week or so), Skype used to connect automatically during start up of the computer. Now I get a message saying there has been an error and I can report this......
If I want Skype nowadays I have to click onto the desktop icon but
I would prefer to have it loading automatically.
What has changed please and can I put it back to how it was?

OK I've reinstalled - I'm going to switch off now and see if it loads automatically. I had an option of uploading Skype 5.2 so have taken it. Back in a bit0

Errr - um...whenever I get an alert to add a necessary Windows update I do. Certain things have an automatic update such as Mozilla firefox and sygate and avast....how can find out which windows version is on? It's XP by the way.0

not sure why you are getting that problem then
only other thing I can think of is to uninstal it and then download and install again
you may need to re-enter your log on detailsEx forum ambassador
