Legal Cover - Home and Motor

Do any of the elements of legal cover for home and motor cross over? If you had to choose one over the other (home or car), which legal cover would you choose or sacrifice over the other?

Generally no, they don't overlap.
Motoring (whilst passenger or driver) is generally excluded on home policies.
Personally if I really couldn't afford £20 or £30 then I'd be seriously thinking of giving up the car and getting the bus. That's a serious comment because a tyre or repairs can easily exceed that amount so how are you going to keep it on the road???.
But if I had to choose I'd take the home cover.
You are more likely to be able to find a "no win no fee" solicitor for a motor case than you are for a conusmer or other household claim.
If you have an insurance broker then I'd ask them about a combined family legal care policy.
Mine is £12 and covers the house, 2 bikes and 1 car.
Personally it's not a area I'd look to sacrifice and I'd be looking elsewhere for moneysaving without sacrificing cover.0
