Visitors to the museum’s stunning ‘Age of Bede’ exhibition, can discover how Bede lived life as an Anglo-Saxon monk, as well as listen to Bede’s thoughts in the museum’s sound pods. Alongside the museum, the site’s Anglo-Saxon demonstration farm provides an imaginative extension to the visitor experience, bringing together the animals, timber buildings, crops and vegetables that featured in the landscape of Bede’s day.
