hi,
getting a new laptop to replace my pc and need to set up the whole wireless thing.
have blagged a router off my internet provider.
is there anything i need to know/do so that the wireless signal is secure and can't be hacked into?

Dear Snowmen,
Most ISP routers these days come with encryption set to on, so it is just a case of keying in the relevant code to your laptop and away you go.
However, if you have to set anything up, then use WPA or WPA2 and a code which can be any word you like. Key it into your laptop the first time you connect to your wireless network and from then on you should only need to click connect at worst. At best, your laptop will logon to your home network when it is in range.
