This is a follow-up to an earlier post re this company.

They have taken my money and not delivered any flowers. My order confirmation stated that they would deliver Friday 17th...no flowers.

Numerous emails to their 'help desk' and they claim that whilst my confirmation states that date, they will be delivered within 3 working days.

Guess what? Yesterday was the 3rd working day and....no flowers.

These flowers were part of a 'deal' and I think that the deal is that they take your money and don't honour their side of the contract.

They wll not refund my money as they say that once an order is placed, it cannot be cancelled.

How should I escalate this?? :mad:

    Yes definitely. Basically I had this problem with dabs. We ordered a v expensive item which hadn't turned up a month later, despite them putting dispatched and closed on the account status. I called Trading Standards and they said it is a straight forward breach of contract. You need to write a letter saying you will sue them for breach of contract. Its up to them to prove they sent it, not for you to prove you never received. I would recommend you call trading standards just to get a ref number though, in case they don't reply and you need to do something else after.

    I ordered flowers in October for my mother which never arrived so I emailed VF to complain. Within a few hours of me emailing value flora they got back to me and asked whether I wanted a replacement. I said yes and the replacement flowers arrived the next day.

    I had no problems at all getting a replacement, although I don't know what would have happened if I had asked for a refund instead.

    Do others actually find trading standard useful?

    In the above posters case they said it was a breach of contract... well that doesnt take a law degree to work out... and to write a letter.... I am sure the other poster could have worked that one out themselves.

    I have personally contacted them twice and been given equally insightful advice... and that they do not take on individual cases but if others complained they may choose to look into it.

    The one time I have had to deal with them as a company I received a letter stating that what had happened was wrong. Sent a letter back saying that if what had happened was a true account then it would have been wrong but the events were not as outlined.... never heard anything more.

  • Hi, I had a problem when I ordered flowers for Mothers day - they never arrived even with several emails, and 2 saying that they had been reordered and sent out again. I live over 400 miles away and was so pleased to find a really reasonably priced floral service, so was really upset. I even told them that I would complain to Mutual POints who have them advertised, and that I would put a review on Ciao - still no flowers, review done,and a refund from my credit card company - one advantage of using a c.c i suppose!
