Can I register self employed?

Hello

Just wondered I am currently claiming maternity allowance as im not in employment I have a 3rd child on way any day now and have been looking into work from home opportunities as i would need childcare for 2 children and possibly for the oldest one as well so it wouldnt be worth me going out to work (like my husband does). I would need to be self employed for this, does anybody know if i'm able to while claiming maternity allowance?

TIA

Not sure to be honest with you.

No you can't do any self-employed work whilst claiming MA but can do if you are receiving SMP.
