Not sure if this is the right place for this....
How do I melt mars bars? Am planning to use mars bar chocolate sauce for ice cream topping. I tried melting in the microwave for 2 minutes on full and it took the glaze off the pot!!!
Also....once melted will it solidify when cool? How can I melt it before a dinner party then warm before serving?

Place a mixing bowl over a pan of water on the stove, gently heat the pan and the warmer air will in turn melt the Mars bar. easy innit?0

Best to slice up first
Probably best to do this just before serving, it won't take long.
I use Mars bars for krispy cakes, and add some butter and syrup when melting to make it smooth.0 -

Caramel bars work the same way with a splash of milk ~ I use them for crispy cakes too
