Help! No hot water downstairs!

Hi all. I have a quandry.
I have a Baxi 105e Combi Boiler. Over the last week, it has failed to start once the hot water tap has been turned on in the kitchen. The fan goes, but it doesn't kick in. If i try from the bathroom, as long as I put two or more taps on, it kicks in no problems.
I have phoned Baxi and they say they will service and fix the boiler for £300. My problem is this, if the engineer comes out and says it is not the boiler, I have wasted £300. I have already had a plumber out who looked and messed with it for 30mins and just scratched his head.
Has anyone else had any issues similar or advice on what I am best to do?
Thanks

Hi
Corgi guy here.
Something not right . When you open a tap the fan will run and boiler will fire. It doesn't matter how many taps you open if it has got that far.Ask to see CIPHE (Chartered Institute of Plumbing & Heating Engineering)0 -
I have given the boiler a service and an see no immediate issues. i have a feeling it may be the Diaphgram although i don't just want to waste money buying one for it not to be that.0

Hello:Why are you servicing the boiler? Are you CORGI registered? Still doesn't make sense
...if it was a problem with the diaphragm the fan wouldn't run. Keep digging!
Good luck.Ask to see CIPHE (Chartered Institute of Plumbing & Heating Engineering)0
