Quick Equifax Question

i want to sign up for the credit watch program and want the 30 day trial.

when i look at that option it says 30 days then 69.99 for 10 months.

does this mean after 30 days i'll have to pay for the whole year? is there a way i could pay it monthly?

i would phone up but theyre not open on Saturdays (just tried) and im sure theres something odd on my report.

thanks

You have to pay the whole sum - look at experian instead as that's monthly, or just keep having free trials every so often and cancel before the end of the month
  • ahh right, thanks.

ive never been able to sign up to experian, everytime it says theres already an account, then i phone up and they say its deleted try again, then i try and it still wont let me sign up, so i just gave up

ill just do the 30 days with equifax then.

    thanks
  • tried to sign up online and they needed verification so i did it over the phone

they gave 30 days free then its 6.99 a month, rather paying for the whole year.

guess you have to phone them up for that?

just incase anyone wanted to know

I am pretty sure you can't in general.
Sometimes Experian send out offers for a second trial, but in general it's new customers only.

I recommend paying £2 for a statutory report as sometimes people have trouble cancelling the free ones and end up paying more.
Equifax is on-line straightaway. With Experian you have to wait for a PIN through the post (mine took 5 days recently).

To confirm you can only get 1 free trial with both companies.

The best thing is the 2£ report that lisyloo has mentioned but it can be quite tricky to find on the website as they don't want you to use them.

In regards to the trial ending and them charging you for a whole year, If you forget to cancel they charge the whole year but when you check you C/A balance and freak out they'll pro rata you a refund to the nearest month
