Update -?? Allergic reaction to Protect and Perfect

Hi,
I have been in to Boots today and it would appear people do have reactions to it.
She said i should bring both back and they would sort it out, I took it to mean she will refund it, I explained that I don't have the receipt. She went on to say that although it is Hypoallergenic, people react to the anti-ageing ingredient in it.
She did try to be diplomatic and asked me why I wanted to return it LOL! She did look quite uneasy when I pointed to my face and said carn't you see it ! You really would have to be blind not to !
Think I am going to have to see my GP , it is so stressing me out now.0 -
Well I went to Boots today. Took both tubes back. Different shop assistant who tells me that they carn't refund the tube that is nearly empty because I have used it !! I say of course I have used it or how would I know I am allergic to it ?????? !
So off she goes to see the manager, when she comes back she tells me that I have used too much as it should last 3 months. I should only be using a pea size amount. So I asked her where does it say that on the packaging ? She just ignored my question and said that her Mum does use alot though and it doesn't hurt her ?????
So...... do any of you know of anywhere that it says only use a pea size amount ?? I would be grateful for any input before my DH2B writes a letter to them with photos of my face .0 -

Personally I always find it more productive to put matters like this in writing to the company, which is why I suggested earlier that you email them.
There are so many chancers these days, that I don't always find you get the best outcome, turning up in person and putting the manager on the spot so to speak, rightly or wrongly!
With respect to you, it would be impossible to find a product that suited everybody and they will have many thousands of satisfied users, although feedback from customers like you will be most valuable to them. I appreciate the timing for you is particularly upsetting.
Send a straightforward email to them and take it from there. As I said, I was sent a detailed questionnaire to complete and was generously reimbursed for the unsuitable product.
I didn't want to mention this in initially publicly, as I think there are a lot of people trying it on these days ( and I'm certainly not referring to you, OP).0 -

Thank You for your advice, I wasn't ignoring you. TBH I don't really care about the money and I thought there might be a chance if they saw my face that they would be more likely to believe me ! Certainly the lady I saw on Sunday did believe me and could see A, how bad it is and B, how upset I am.
I appreciate that they have chancers everyday.
I just want it to be gone, when I got up this morning my H2B said it looked better , so I didn't book to see my GP now however having just got in from work it seems to be worse . Hope its just my imagination !
Thanks again and will be emailing them later0 -
This is probably far too late to suggest but you could always note the ingredients on the P&P and compare them to what you have used previously that doesn't hurt? If there is an ingredient that you're allergic to then you could do a compare and contrast. I need to to it - I've got a whole list of products I'm allergic to, lol. Most recently eyelids felt like they were burning when I used Johnson and Johnson's make up remover lotion even though it was fine on the rest of my face!
Apparently if you're sensitive to something, the eyes are one area where you might feel it more, because of the really delicate skin in that area.
Maybe you could ask a pharmacist for some advice, they may be able to recommend a product that could soothe the area? Or they might be able to tell you what to avoid or look for in an eye product.0
