Dying Zapp Pushchair Seat covers & Hood

I have a Hot Pink Quinny Zapp pushchair.... unfortuantly i now have a boy!
I love this little buggy and it lives in the car and we have been using it in travel system mode with the car seat but Lewis's head is about 1cm from the top of seat so will have to change to the stationary seat for the car to keep him rear facing.. he's only 7m but a big boy!
Anyways.... do you think i could dye the pink covers with a black or navy dye? i have had them through the washer before and there wasnt any problems.
They are slightly marked with a little bit of mould starting to grow from being stored badly so have no resale value on ebay so i wouldnt be loosing anything if it went wrong
Has anybody dyed synthetics sucessfully? which product would be best machine, hand or cold water?
or should i go and buy the new sparkly zapp xtra seat unit.... which would then leave my big pram redundant!!!!

Does the zapp xtra seat unit fit on the old zapp frame? If do, that would be my choice. In fact, that might still be my choice......Debt free as of July 2010 :j

Yes apparently it does, its a tight fit but it will go onIt is better to stay silent and be thought a fool, than to open one’s mouth and remove all doubt.
