Electrician Glasgow

Hi looking for an electrician in glasgow (in last two weeks have had 5 appointments just not turned up by 3 different local electricians) only a small job - replacing fan in bathroom. Would try it myself but cant work out the wiring (L1 N2 3 connection with a red blue and yellow wires from the light).

Any help much appreciated.

  • if it was closer I would offer to come up, but I like to keep local

    I would suggest,

    You should use a competent person for the work, links below

    Individuals registered;

    would do but they are quite different and i am not happy putting red cables to blue - think the problem comes from the new colours.

    Instructions state - 1st line - must be fitted by a professionally qualified electrician.

    cheers for the tips - just cant believe that the job is not worth doing or even calling back to apologise etc.

  • These are my bread and butter jobs

    I like the small jobs like this as they usually lead to more work of mouth and repeat business

    These jobs are a minumum of an hour £35-£40, so I prefer the client to save up their little jobs and get them all done at once. Saves time and money

    Me too B-E. I call them "granny" jobs as usually it's some old dear or a neighbour of one you're working at who will say "next time you're passing/nearby can you just..." and it'll be change a fan, add a socket, move a light etc. Short 1 hr type jobs than you can fit in on a Friday afternoon or so, when you can't do something bigger.
